Having walked the hills and glens for many years, all mountain leaders at Hillgoers are highly qualified and possess vast experience of Scotland's wilderness. They are passionate about their profession: their aim is to share this enthusiasm, and their knowledge, with you. Walks are never rushed. Indeed, the leaders take their time to guide you through the landscape, identifying flora and fauna, and providing interesting historical facts.
While it’s possible to book walks across Scotland, the team holds specialist knowledge of the Royal Deeside area, from the Wells of Dee high up above Braeriach, through the Cairngorm National Park, past the magnificent Lochnagar, down to the stormy North Sea in Aberdeen. Fishing for wild brown trout in Scotland’s remote hill lochs is a firm favourite, although camping under the stars is hard to beat!

The prices in our shop are dependent on walk location and event interest. If numbers are low, or if we have to travel far from our base in Royal Deeside, higher charges may apply. Larger groups and under 18’s are subject to a discount.
We have example walks in our shop but we very much welcome bespoke walks, just email or give us a call to arrange a special day for you.
Hillgoers are based near Banchory and most of our walks depart from Ballater or Braemar area but we love to walk anywhere in Scotland. If you have any questions about our events or services please get in touch.
