Based in Aberdeenshire, we specialise in guided walks, skills courses, and dark sky/stargazing events. Hillgoers provides a variety of options for your event, ranging from multi-day hiking retreats with conservation work, guided walks (half or full day), skills courses or meeting facilitation with an outdoor theme.

Balmoral Cairns and Castle

Your team will enjoy access to the Balmoral Castle grounds and be expertly guided on a 4-7+km walk through the beautiful Caledonian pine forest to discover the Royal Cairns and learn the stories behind them.

Bennachie - History and Nature

As a volunteer trustee for the Bennachie Visitor Centre, Garry (owner of Hillgoers) will expertly guide your team around the centre and the surrounding area. Make use of the excellent facilities and enjoy access to this iconic hill.

Glen Tanar

A picturesque glen on the eastern edge of the Cairngorms, renowned for its ancient Caledonian pine forest, tranquil rivers, and abundant wildlife. It offers excellent walking trails, rich biodiversity, and a peaceful retreat into nature.

Nestled in the Cairngorms National Park, the Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve offers a geological delight. With the beautiful Loch Kinord and the Burn o’ Vat to explore, your team will enjoy the nature and history of this special place.

Loch Muick

A stunning freshwater loch within the Balmoral Estate, surrounded by rolling hills and rugged mountains, including Lochnagar. Ideal for wildlife watching, it offers a peaceful, remote atmosphere and historic connections to Queen Victoria.
