WINTER SKILLS AND SUMMITS - LOCHNAGAR

Join us for a winter skills adventure in Scotland

Winter Skills Courses and Walks in the Cairngorms

About this event

Join us on a winter journey to explore Lochnagar and its surroundings. If you’ve always fancied bagging a winter Munro, or are looking for a refresher or to develop your winter skills further then this is the event for you!

Aim

Plan A will be to head to Lochnagar’s summit Cac Carn Beag (1156m) via the normal summer route, brushing up on skills along the way.

As much as we’d always love to deliver our primary objective, there’s no such thing as a guaranteed winter summit. The snow and weather conditions will ultimately decide where we go and what we do, but rest assured that your experienced guide will provide a plan that works best on the day.

Prerequisites

This event is aimed at people with some experience using crampons and ice axes, it would be perfect if you’ve done a Winter Skills Weekend or a Winter Skills Taster Day with us before. A good level of fitness is required.

Plan A - Distance - 19km, Ascent - 900m, Duration - 8 to 10 hours

**Dates don’t work or not quite the right thing for you then hire a Private Guide and we can tailor an experience to suit you!
