Morven in the first snow of the season

Yesterday I decided to dig out my winter gear and go on a test run up Morven. I'd been watching the social media frenzy about snow on the hills and I was beginning to feel the need for some of that fresh cold air on my face! Morven is only 871m but the snow was lying above 600m.

Not long after I reached the flat spot when I was in full winter white out with reasonable gusts! Ski masked, I made my way to the trig point and took some snaps in between the snow blasts.

Heading South quickly took me out of the wind where I sat and watched the weather flow past for a while.

My test day completed, my only mistake being not to wear my gaiters, some of the drifts were up to my knee!

Face freshened, home for a brew.
