Beinn Eighe

We’ll take you through some dramatic scenery, including the mountain’s finest feature: Coire Mhic Fhearchair’s Triple Buttress

Start Time: 08:15 for 08:30 start.

Location: Meet at the car park just west of the bridge over the Allt a Choire Dhuibh Mhòir.

Walk Grading: Level 3/4 walk. Find out more about our walk grading here.

Terrain: Rocky and steep in places and has some mild scrambly steps.

Requirements: Regular hill walking experience on higher hills like Scottish Munros (above 3,000ft).

Join us for a Torridon giant

Beinn Eighe is one of the three big mountains that chatacterise Torridon and the first to be encountered driving from Kinlochewe, with the light grey quartz streaming down its steep sides. We’ll take you through some dramatic scenery including the mountains’ finest feature, Coire Mhic Fhearchair’s Triple Buttress.

Once you’ve ascended onto the ridge you’ll get unparalleled views of Liathach and the rest of Beinn Eighe’s sweeping mass and if you’re lucky you might see as far as Skye and the Outer Hebrides. Oh, and because we’ll organise some cars to be left at the and end point we’ll save a half hour walk along the A896 at the end!

Why not make a weekend of it? Join us for Slioch on Sunday 23th August! For those looking to stay overnight it’s worth noting that accommodation in the area books up fast so early booking is essential.
