Join us for a guided walk in Assynt

Day 1 - Suilven

A walk to one of the most iconic mountains in Scotland. Good paths lead to the base of the hill with superb views of the peak all the way. The ascent to the ridge and then to the summit is steep but the views only get better as you climb, particularly along the ridge of Suilven itself and south over the wilds of Inverpolly and Coigach. On the return there is the option to visit Suileag bothy before the final stretch of the walk back to Glencanisp.

Although not a Munro, this is still a fairly long hill day requiring a good level of hill fitness. The ascent is all on paths but involves steep (and occasionally loose) terrain, some short narrow sections of ridge and a few short steps of straightforward scrambling.

Day 2 - Ben More Assynt & Conival

Visiting the two highest hills in the Northwest Highlands, this walk goes through some of the most interesting and varied geology in the northwest and offers great views over this remote corner of the highlands. There is an enjoyable rocky ridge walk between the two peaks and the option for a short scramble out to the southeast Top of Ben More Assynt before returning the same way.

Important

Please note, as this is sold as a weekend event and you may have booked accommodation, we will aim to walk whatever the weather. Therefore, we reserve the right to modify the planned activities to adapt to weather conditions. For instance, we may switch the days walks over (walking Sunday's hills on Saturday and vice versa) or you will be offered an alternative lower-level walk to a scenic location instead. Therefore, please keep both days free for the full 9 hours per day.

If the weather forecast is going to impact the objectives of the entire weekend, we will look to reschedule.
