Ben Macdui and the Cairngorm Plateau
Join us for an expertly guided walk to Scotland's 2nd highest mountain, Ben Macdui. Being the highest mountain in the Cairngorms, this magnificent hill walk provides exceptional views. These walks can be arranged throughout the year and can be tailored to a individual or group requirements.
Exploring the Cairngorm plateau is an unforgettable, sometimes life changing experience. The sense of high space and vastness is truly magical. The day will involve a walk to the summit of Ben Macdui but wandering across the plateau alone is really special. You'll likely see the ptarmigan, mountain hare and if lucky the wild reindeer herd or a golden eagle! If time permits we will stroll to look into Loch Avon, over to look into the Lairig Ghru from above or we can go and dip our toes in Loch Etchachan! There are plenty of options to explore in the heart of the Cairngorms, including bagging other Munros if that's your goal.
This walk can leave from the Cairngorm Mountain ski centre car park or from Linn o' Dee near Braemar.
Under 18s to be accompanied. These walks can be single person or group walks. If you'd like to join others as a group member get in touch and we can add you to the list.
