The Tàrmachan Ridge - 26th May 2019
Meall nan Tarmachan is a fine Munro, standing at 1044m, it is the only Munro on the Tarmachan Ridge. The route gives fantastic views over Loch Tay and west to the Lawers range.
This guided walk will be led by team member George who knows the hill well and can keep you informed and safe as you go.
Total distance approximately 14km, with a 800m ascent. Time to complete the walk, circa 6-7 hours. Our walks are never rushed, George will keep the group on time though and a degree of fitness is required to walk up any Munro. The walk may be extended to include Creag na Caillich (916m) if conditions allow.
You will hopefully bump into some ptarmigan while on the ridge, tàrmachan being the Gaelic word for the bird. Meall nan Tàrmachan means the rounded hill of the ptarmigan.
Kit advice and meet up details will be provided nearer the time. Please contact us if you have any questions.
